Plaquemines Parish School District is currently ranked the second highest-performing district in the state of Louisiana, with a District Performance Score of 110.7 and a letter grade of A.

With powerful teachers, dynamic administrators, and amazing students, according to a 2017 report released by Niche.com, Plaquemines Parish ranked in the top 7% nationally.

Two of the district’s high schools were recognized by US News & World Report as Best High Schools in the Country: Belle Chasse High received a “Bronze” award, while South Plaquemines High received a “Silver” award.

Furthermore, their largest elementary school, Belle Chasse Primary, is a national “Blue Ribbon School” as well as a national “Title I Distinguished School.” Currently, 43% of the parish’s schools are “A” rated schools.
