The Camp Moore Confederate Museum is a popular attraction in Kentwood for those with a love of American history. The site, which was the Confederate Army's Training Grounds from 1861-1864, is full of Civil War artifacts, and visitors to the museum can learn about how soldiers lived during the time period.

The Kentwood Museum was built to honor and showcase the men and women who served in the military from the town. The Museum has military items from World War II to the present day.

Kentwood has amazing resources for those with a love for the outdoors. End of the Lane Mountain Biking has 20 miles of scenic bike trails through piney woods, and the Inspiration Park and Campground is a 58-acre park that is beautifully landscaped and includes a European labyrinth.

For those who like the rodeo, Kinchen's Indoor Rodeo Arena is a 100-acre complex with a 1.8-acre indoor facility and hosts rodeos year-round.

Sumner High School are popular public schools in the area with strong sports programs and a college prep curriculum. The Kentwood High Magnet School is also popular for area residents.

This location is car-dependent since most errands require travel time. There is a small downtown area with restaurants, grocery stores and other amenities but the town is spread out and it is rare for a resident not to have access to a vehicle.
